The book "Dințișorii sunt prietenii mei" was welcomed with great delight by the children enrolled at Candid After School in Galați. The little ones got to discover the story of Tudorică and the way he looks after his teeth so they sparkle and stay perfectly healthy.
From the book, the children learned the right way to protect their dental health, with Tudorică being ever so careful to follow it. Beyond brushing his teeth morning and evening, the hero of Alina Diaconu's book also takes care to avoid fizzy drinks, too many sweets and constant snacking. Tudorică loves his little teeth like dear friends and wants them to be healthy and free of cavities. It is entirely up to him to keep them that way.
Alina Diaconu, author of "Dințișorii sunt prietenii mei", wanted to give the little ones a meaningful encounter with dentist Andreea Borș of Dental Clinic. From the good doctor, the children learned, gently, that the dentist is their ally in keeping their teeth healthy. They were delighted to discover that there is no pain at the dentist's office as long as they mind their dental hygiene and stick to a few basic rules: brushing their teeth at least twice a day and eating well, leaning mostly on raw fruit and vegetables.
All the good advice for children's dental health is woven into Tudorică's story in the book "Dințișorii sunt prietenii mei", a book that ought to be a regular part of every child's reading.
Alina Diaconu, the book's author, and Andreea Borș, dentist, hope to reach as many schools and kindergartens as possible, so they can show children, through Tudorică's story, how the health of their little teeth can be kept up for a lifetime.
