Return policy

Under Romanian Emergency Ordinance (OUG) 34/2014, you have the right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the products, without penalty and without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, notify us in writing at contact@povestile-tale.ro, then return the products, in the condition in which they were delivered, to: CARTE DESCHISA SRL, DN25 no. 21, Șerbeștii Vechi, 807290, Galați county, within 14 calendar days of withdrawing from the contract. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer; we recommend using the same courier service used for delivery.

CARTE DESCHISA SRL will refund the value of the order as soon as possible after receiving the returned product. The refunded amount and the return conditions do not include shipping costs if delivery was made by methods other than the standard one we offer.

The consumer is responsible only for any diminished value of the products resulting from handling them beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning (Directive 2011/83/EU, recital 47).

Exception for digital books (eBooks): under Article 16(m) of OUG 34/2014, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the supply of digital content not delivered on a tangible medium (for example eBooks), if performance has begun with the consumer's express prior consent and their acknowledgment that they thereby lose the right of withdrawal. For physical products (printed books), the full 14-day right of withdrawal described above applies.
