What kind of books will I find on the site?
At Poveștile Tale you will find illustrated storybooks for children, brimming with the magic of childhood, emotion, courage and discovery.
Who is the author?
The author of the books is Alina Diaconu. She has been writing all her life, but began publishing in 2018. That year she released her first illustrated book for children, and she has not stopped since. Alina knows how important reading is, which is why she encourages the Poveștile Tale community to read, read and read again. She also encourages children to write. Alina holds a master's degree in Literature and Cultural Studies, and she has completed courses with established Romanian writers. Before being a writer she is a reader: she first fell in love with books in the Village Library of Hanu-Conachi, where she grew up. She loves sunflowers, writing by hand and reading her own texts as if someone else had written them. She feels best when she moves into her stories, where she can invent whatever she likes. She also believes she is not the only one responsible for what she writes, blaming a force that enters through the crown of her head and comes out through her fingertips, straight onto the blank, empty page. What scares Alina more is a written sheet or a finished text; she prefers empty pages ready to be filled with letters that form words, that form sentences, that form passages, that make a whole story. She loves children and pistachio, in all its forms, but especially as ice cream.
How can I buy the books?
You can buy our books either directly from our site or from our partners. On the site you can choose to pay by card or on delivery, whichever is simpler and easier for you.
Can I request a signed copy?
Yes, you can choose to have the author sign your books. Simply tick the option: I want a signed copy. There you will also find a field where, if you wish, you can write the name of the child or children you are buying for.
Do I pay for shipping?
Shipping is charged for orders under 150 lei.
Where can I find Alina's books?
You can find the books on our site, at Cărturești, Bookzone, Elibrys bookshops, at Solidar Hub, and on eMAG, Amazon and Trendyol.
Where can I find the books in audio format?
Poveștile Tale books can be listened to on the Voxa platform. We also encourage listening to stories, because they can make long journeys feel shorter.

Alina Diaconu's books are intended for children aged 0-8 and 6-10.

Dar din suflet și hârtie is a book for any age. It is the kind of book meant to be given as a gift, already wrapped and prepared by Alina.
How long does delivery take?
We dispatch via Cargus courier within 24 to 48 working hours from order confirmation; delivery usually takes 2-4 working days. Shipping costs 20 lei and is free on orders over 150 lei.
Can I return a book?
Yes. You have the right to return products within 14 calendar days, in line with Romanian law (GEO 34/2014). You will find the details in our Return policy.
In what formats are the books available?
The books are available in print and, most of them, also as an eBook (PDF).
How do I receive the eBook after ordering?
Right after payment you receive the eBook as a PDF, which you can read on your phone, tablet or computer. No delivery and no waiting.
What is the free coloring book?
With most books you also receive, for free, the matching coloring book as a printable PDF, sent by email after your order, both for the print and the eBook version.
Do you organise activities in schools?
Yes, Alina runs reading sessions and workshops in schools. See the Activities page for details.
My child writes stories. Can you publish them?
We would love to! Send us the story by email and, if it is selected, we publish it in Their Stories, and it may even appear in a printed book.
